What is your #1
priority in life? Basically we have
only 3 choices: other people,
ourselves, or God. If other people are
our top priority, the Bible calls this idolatry. If our own selfish agendas take first
place, this is called pride. If pleasing God is our top priority, this is
called righteousness.
Jesus said in Matthew 4:19
“Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” It’s important to note the priority of His
instruction. Only as we are following Christ do we put ourselves in position
to be effective fishers of men. When
we try to be fishers of men without first following Christ, we fall into the
traps of idolatry and pride. Choose to make following Christ your top
priority today!
